i cannot see that if Shell has 14.9% and AOE 17% or so, that anyone else would have a go at PES, because there would be no chance that they would be to the crucial 90% threshold.

I reckon its either AOE upping the offer, or Shell having a go at Pure - then they will have a go at AOE.

The acceptance of the Directors and co plus Shell was dependent upon no higher offer being made.

Maybe the directors and Co have been uneasy over the price because of PES good reserves upgrades ???
