It just seems strange to call a trading halt to issue an update to a number you haven't given the market any direct guidance on especially 10 days out from the end of the quarter. They could have chosen to say nothing about the FY19 number in the half yearly and yet they came out a reaffirmed the previous number 10 days ago.
On the other hand if the number was good why halt? The only thing I can think of is the uncertainty was being exploited by players in the market. Such is the fun of owning a gold miner in the startup phase.
