This just does not make sense if you are expecting a positive reserves result. Currently they have none, but have positively presented the possibility that contingent resources will upgrade to reserves.
If on the other hand they are not sure of the reserves results it is certainly in their interests to secure funding now. A cash buffer will be invaluable to RLE in the event of disappointment
