Argentina: Air Total will build a $ 1 million solar park in Catamarca
The project was tendered by the local power company, Energía Catamarca SAPEM, in November. The plant will supply a lithium producer with electricity from the Salar del Hombre Muerto.
The company Catamarqueña Air Total was the winner of the tender for the construction of a solar park worth 39.2 million Argentine pesos (approximately $ 1 million) that the energy company of the Argentine province, Energía Catamarca SAPEM, had launched in November .
According to the Secretary of State for Mining in a statement, the work is financed by the Integrated Trust with contributions from Livent (ex FMC), which is an Argentine fund that allows the different mining departments to project works that go outside the projected and made with the money that comes in for royalties.
The plant is part of a set of infrastructure projects financed with these contributions, for a total investment of 55 million pesos, the entity said in the note.
