Yep. It was based on nothing.
The reason isn't anything negative, in fact it is quite the opposite.
Throw in a pile of cash, with some lies and deception and you have an industry that has been artificially decimated. There are any number of reasons why this would take place. If you want an obvious one, just look at the effort some went to quash the original Electric Vehicle movement... or how about the fact that the big players quite literally missed the boat... think of it like a child having a hissy fit until they get what they want
It isn't the first time this has happened.
It wont be the last.
