So, what does 'strategic' mean here? Strategy means 'a plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim.'
It's also an investment.
It doesn't say anything more than 'a gold exploration company'. It doesn't say where or what. My guess is that it's an unlisted company, probably a proprietary one too; a company owned by people who are keen to get connected with the ASX. imo, BDI has invested so as to accommodate that wish, but at the same time gaining a material benefit for itself which will be realised at some time in the future. This is probably the first step of the 'plan of action.' - all guesswork of course.
The strategy should be revealed when the TH is lifted.
