Burwill (HK:24) are actively trading today (-2% on 3.7m volume or $533k) so it appears to be business as usual for them for today at least. No trading halt, no announcement.
Given the macro environment at the moment, I also feel a bit wary of an unexpected announcement. But given that A40 probably has a decent stockpile of spodumene in their shed, it sort of makes business sense that A40 and Burwill could arrange amendments to allow that stock to move quicker to another taker, especially if Burwill don't need it right away.
As I stated earlier, Burwill also own over 7% of A40 ($21.5m @ 23c) so they have a vested interested in supporting A40.
If we look at the facts, Burwill have taken 6 shipments this calendar year (for a total of 41208dmt) with the most recent shipment being Irongate on 21/11 with 12202dmt. That was only a month ago.
Let's see what the news brings and hopefully it positive and enables A40 to build some momentum moving in to 2019.
