davenjill/others: YES, INDEED !!  Just today, one of my biotech stocks did announce what I would consider 'excellent' news. And guess what: The respective share-price went DOWN rather than up...

COULD very easily happen here with AVL as well, as expectations may be a tad on the high side?  Moreover, the overall market sentiment is against small cap stocks with no income as yet.

IF AVL will go down rather than up, this will be two bad outcomes for me in the run-up to Christmas.  I hope not, of course !!
