Hi Simon, thanks for clarifying, as far as I am aware this is fully disclosed in the financial statements and whilst i agree it would have boosted reported earnings any reputable investor would simply added back the capitalised amound and deducted the amortisation expense.
Hardly what i would consider complex trickery.
