Some pretty feral/uneducated/misinformed posts over at the the neighbours forum today. Best thing to do IMO is stay out of it and keep our threads clean and constructive.
One issue they managed to pick out from our PFS is our gas supply for the roasting. Someone said it was in the flowsheet in the Noosa Presentation, I couldn't find it but on one of the early slides they do highlight that there is a gas pipeline 160km away. I have seen/been involved in constructing a gas pipeline to site while working at Gruyere (Gold Road/Goldfields JV), which was 150km from Laverton. Barring a few additional permits etc I don't see why this is a big deal for us, or next door. Was this factored into our PFS? I doubt it, and may result in some additional CAPEX come our DFS if we do go down this avenue. Would make perfect sense to share a pipeline with next door which branches off to each respective sites. That said its like saying RIO and BHP could save by sharing rail in the Pilbara. Yeah nah its not going to happen...
As far as trucking in our gas, someone said it was not feasible. Anyone with more knowledge than me care to elaborate on this?
Funny how we went into a halt for our placement on the day they released their PFS, I wonder if it was purely coincident or orchestrated, and if so for what reason. Had we not been in a halt would have been interesting to see how we traded. Retreated with AVL or continued with our uptrent. Sell side is very thin, I am really hoping for favourable terms with this placement, we were just starting to build some momentum, would be a shame to head back to the 50s after we chugged our way out of it.
