It could be argued that the board has gone for the raise knowing that conditions might get tougher or persist longer than the more sanguine think it will. That is/would be prudent capital management and reflective of my experience in these things. MLX did it last month.
Remember when I said to keep some powder in reserve. The time is coming to spend some.
