I phoned Red Leaf securities today and spoke to John Athanasu in Sydney. John told me that Red Leaf were offered some shares in the institutional placement at 45c and they took up their allocation. What I learnt from this interaction was that niche investment firms build relationships with companies and get to be involved in these corporate raisings. John also gave a good insight into AU make'a QV8 store which was useful for me as I'm in Perth. He compared the location to Oxford Street in London. Very busy and full of tourists. I found out about Red Leaf from John's work on Your Money Your Call on Sky Business.
