Surely you could just create an SMS alert on your trading platform for a price-sensitive announcement. That way you can forget Neurotech International and HotCopper and go for a walk in the sunshine, relax with a coffee, read something interesting, leave busy researchers alone...
Once the announcement is made you have 30 minutes to have a look, digest it and then decide if you want to throw an order into the auction. Let your trailing stop-loss order do the work.
