Farmers are allocated water licences and are free to use that regardless of the water table. Do you think a farmer in drought stops running his water bores?

Farming and protection of the environment is the greatest green hypocrisy i see. Every bit of farm land is cleared, sprayed with 'toxic' pesticides and drilled for water extraction. Imagine if a mine site sprayed a pesticide. Epa would be all over them.

And yes. There are some organic farms that dont use pesticides but they are using cleared land and water from our aquifers.
