The pity of it is that investors all too often accept company's announcements on face value. We have all been there, unfortunately it is a learning lesson many (imo) cannot make from listening to others but have to experience the pain themselves.

Non-holders posting negative views are assumed to have an agenda (i.e. downramping for their own benefit) but the problem most people forget is that the other stakeholder group here who has an agenda is company management - they control the information flow and they are supposed to make decisions ostensibly for the benefit of shareholders who employ them to run the company and that is true in many cases, but imo that assumption breaks down for small/micro cap stocks where management teams all too often want to ensure they keep their jobs running the company, and if they aren't generating the profits to do so then the game is how do they manage the newsflow to raise more funds from investors (and that comment is not specific to AKK, its a general comment about this class of small/micro cap stocks).

That is a very powerful vested interest that shareholders too often ignore imo. It pees me off because quite frankly if they can't run a company to make a return (either SP growth &/or dividends) for shareholders then they don't deserve their jobs. I have become a much harsher judge of small cap stocks with that perspective in mind and it wouldn't hurt for investors to apply more scepticism or at least a more critical judgement of what companies tell them before investing.
