I think this is a fascinating development. I am drawn to what hawks2014 said when he reported the recent comment about "timing".
"He said that the slow progress in Global Commodity markets have also made them consider the timing more than previously."
Timing.
It was a puzzling remark.... and as I said it seemed to me to suggest finding nickel now (which let us say is certainly there at RH) at a time when nickel is way way down would not yield anything like the SP dividend to (us) shareholders that they deserve. The timing of the find would simply not reward investors commensurate with their risk and patience. That applies to all the very hard working MPJ staff too!!
So... how do you address that??? Boards are paid to solve such dilemmas. You cannot just put things on hold.
Now according to Bluey66's useful knowledge, MPJ directors have some connections with DKO who apparently are Lithium explorers with lithium connections .. worldwide presumably.
The Australian article suggests a lithium project in Europe(!?).
So what has MPJ got in order to "buy" into such a project. It has equity in itself, and brilliant exploration expertise to offer.
Given that MPJ is right on the brink of a significant Ni discovery... the only problem being its commodity price which is beyond its control, then some cashless wheeling and dealing might be possible.
I will swap you X% of MPJ for Y% of your Lithium exploration company... or tenement.
Any CR will then be used solely for exploration. Hopefully at a much higher price than a useless 0.3 - 0.4c
If Li is flavour of the month then a big discovery here will reward shareholders very well! Not so for Nickel. So you go find something worthwhile, and when nickel turns around in the medium terms 6 - 12 months, then go back to RH and finish the work.
That little strategy should lift the profile of MPJ.. make it more diversified, lower the risk and be more interesting to risk-taking investors .. with two irons in the fire.
Anyway... just some passing thoughts which are possible during a TH.
With lithium, pegmatites are the go apparently.... post 16860853 by sinkorswim on the DKO forum talks about some US technology which helps in finding non-visible deposits.
Anyway without getting too far ahead..... a more diversified company is stronger. Maybe they will find lithium AND nickel.
Let's examine the details of the deal and what MPJ is getting for what it is swapping... if anyone can assess the value of a tenement then our crew can, so no fear about being short-changed I reckon.
Fun times ahead. Looks like (potentially) a very good move. Good luck!
