BHP have been mining groote for 50 yrs - it is not just about money... Yes they have put plenty of $$ into the traditional owners but they have also built up a relationship with them. NTM are hopefully just starting to do that, but i can see for every small step forward there are going to be plenty of new obstacles to face. The NT Government have told them from the outset that unless they are visible in the NT and engage the community they will not get far.
A long and expensive road awaits.
