I wouldn't say that. Where do you think the worlds largest Lithium resources (~70%) are situated? The lithium triangle, ABC Argentina, Bolivia and Chile not China.
Brines are much cheaper and the time to get to production is lower.
Higher Lithium commodity prices is bringing hard rock to life. However if this lithium supercycle breaks down. It will be hard rocks that will be hammered significantly.
That said as the cycle is upwards and for many years to come. This is a chance for all investors ie hard rock and briners to succeed, considering the tumultuous years we have had for other commodities.(Copper, Nickel, lead... etc)
