Excuse my ignorance i am far from an expert share trader but i was wondering if there is a difference between an acquisition and a material acquisition?

My understanding of a material acquisition in this form would be that we are acquiring an asset such as another company or being acquired?

“Material Acquisition” means any acquisition of assets or series of related acquisitions of assets (including by way of merger)

Not obtaining a new contract.
If the co. had obtained a new deal this would have been worded differently in the TH document and looking at previous announcements would only have been a price sensitive announcement not a TH.
