If tribune is such a good model why arnt more companies doing it? The past is then they may have got away with it before different panel different era etc. But it cant continue forever.something has to give . Shareholders expect better. And if this goes private well that was always a risk.

People dont want to invest in doubt and uncertainty that kind of money goes into different style of company. People are gambling on a outcome here cause there is far too much uncertainty.

Even with a share split all the main holdings are not going budge it would only then maybe create some liquidity. But a split is not going to happen in a long shot.
