It was unquestionably the pictures of the parrot flying high in the sky above Professor Harding and the old TIS board that threw everyone. When the TIS Board tried to fly it in the European lorrikeet flying competition and it was ruled ineligible, causing the collapse of TIS, it was a shock. Nonetheless, no shareholders suspected that it was in fact dead, merely that it was not a lorrikeet. That was obviously confirmed by the new FTT Board, which wisely recognised it was a parrot and prepared it extensively for the US flight. But, alas, while all retail shareholders still had the perfect picture of the parrot flying over the head of the good Professor and the TIS Board and we all knew it was not a lorakeet, they had assumed the new Board might at least check to see if it was a live parrot or not....too much to ask for, I guess.
