Yes, I thought I'd use the more commonly understood term of "throwing under the bus" as opposed to "walking the plank" just to avoid any confusion.

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if they don't have any idea.  I've spoken to some of the larger investors who get the red carpet treatment from the McAuliffe's and they are completely brainwashed by the pirate's Kool Aid.  Some of these investors have business relationships with the directors that go back over 25 years, and they just refuse to believe that their "friends" would do this to them.  So it honestly wouldn't surprise me if these expendable pirates still think they're in a safe position, but I think surely by now they must be having doubts at the very least.
