fair point Beale. Very clever post making us all take an introspective view. Although I am not sure anyone gets satisfaction abusing management in fact most level headed posters are quick to congratulate management on their successes and to acknowledge the enormity of the task they have with limited resources 

Having said that, yes we can sell but that is where our control ends.  and beale dont forget many having invested on the back of clear guidance via announcements, presentations and annual reports (and probably a phone call or breakkie as well). We hang on to hope but it is not blind hope it is based on guidance and that is why it can get a bit vitriolic because we feel let down, frustrated or worse sometimes just plan duped - maybe your analogy of an abusive relationship is a good one
