Their tech idea sounds outstanding so lets hope they have outstanding engineers creating an outstanding back end. I have seen great tech ideas with useless platform that is bug ridden - which makes the whole idea absolutely useless. I really hope this doesn't go that way as I really think this has a billion dollar potential if they have a good intuitive platform that businesses can use and make a difference.

To be able to raise $8 mil is a great endorsement to start with. I like their idea of a freemium - i.e small sites with less than 5k users gets to use it for free. Who wouldn't go for that especially capital tight small businesses ? There's nothing to lose. Once their user numbers build up they are more entrenched with the value of those users and the snow ball effect builds and builds. Google would be keeping a keen eye on OpenDNA.
