I am commending @Caossuits for the initiative to contact the company as opposed to ranting and raving the company isn't contacting him/her. The commendation was not reflective of the fact that the CEO himself responded, though that is what happened.
I did not say they don't have the resources or obligations to 'reply to individual shareholder inquiries'. I said they do not have the resources or obligation to 'contact each individual shareholder on a one-on-one basis' - i.e. INITIATE a one-on-one conversation.
In other words, the company isn't going to just randomly reach out to any individual who buys a share parcel. It's not like I buy Telstra and their management rings me up and thanks me for becoming a shareholder and gives me the run down of current activities and history.
You've altered the whole conversation by changing what i've written from 'contact each shareholder on a one-on-one basis' i.e. INITIATING conversation, to 'reply to individual shareholder queries' i.e. RESPONDING to conversation.
ASX companies of course have an obligation to respond to all shareholder queries to the best of their (legally abled) capacity.
The problem lies herein. Whilst Hotcopper is a discussion forum, technically it is not a platform that reaches directly to the BOD or management team. Yes, I get Neil is here, but his role is really a courtesy conduit and has constraints (though few seem to realise this). If you have legitimate questions and want the answer straight from the horses mouth, email or contact them directly like Caossuits has.
As a side note, I do commend you as well for writing to ASX/ASIC with your queries. Few others else seem to show that initiative.
There are circa 8500 holders of CGB parcels. I've not acted in a CEO position but assume theres 50 or 100 email queries a day. It's possible to reply to 100 emails in a day - not possible to do that AND contact every shareholder of a revolving register once trading again.
Long story short, If you want assurances or information, better to ask it direct than via a bundle of bias posters - especially since there's no real proof if/why the bias exists per poster.
