Agree with 99% of this. The only point I'd argue is that it's not just mum and dad's losing out. People with very deep pockets and a lot of money in GMC are going to get stung if the worst case CR being postulated eventuates.
This gives me hope that us small fish have some bigger fish going into bat for us (talk about mixing analogies but you get my point).
