re: Ann: Telstra Orders $2M Beam Iridium Hand... Iridium sat net was and is very expensive, coverage everywhere is a huge benefit and perhaps TELSTRA is looking for an advantage over rivals so every little bit helps.
A cheap way of increasing network coverage to the public and you might be on a winner here, writing this because i remember the handsets from years ago.
