This last line won't help things:

"Shares in Bass plunged 20% in late afternoon trade to A$0.004."

I would have thought that the writers for that site would at least have a slight knowledge of the sharemarket and wouldn't use words like "plunge" for a smallcap. A plunge for BAS would be going to 0.002. A move from 0.005 to 0.004 (particularly when based on a small cross-trade) is par for the course for this stock.

In regards to the stock not moving, obviously things like this don't help, but I tend to agree that with all the crosstrades that go on just before Close of trading most days that this is being kept artificially low for someone to accumulate. This morning we have seen so far two purchases: one for 1 (yes one) share and one for $33 worth of shares.
