That would be an excellent question to ask whomever was in charge of planning and construction for Tanami Gold in 2005-2006, you are correct in that proposed plant and infrastructure and waste dump/tailings storage areas should all be adequately sterilized before advanced planning and construction begin - but you would be surprised at how often this does not happen......
