The next ANN will be what it will be, regardless of what we speculate here in the meantime.
That said, and for what it's worth, here's my contribution to the discussion....
A quick recent history recap first:
6 Feb: ANN re Brines Discovered in Maiden Drillhole
https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20190206/pdf/442drwx0cs6xjy.pdfThere was no TH or pre warning, just dropped the ANN prior to start of trading. This was a significant announcement, as whilst the CSMAT indicated brine, it was the drilling that confirmed brine was indeed there, and whilst there was no assay results as yet, the conductivity indicated the results should be Li rich.

https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20190213/pdf/442kzxkvv0yq78.pdfThis ANN announced the first assay results from brine samples of H1. This was the company making result that proved a theory was reality.
Now fast forward to this week....
4 Mar: Trading Halt
5 Mar: 3B (300k options)
6 Mar: VS
IMO, based on speaking with GLN reps at the RIU and having followed GLN for a while now, I think that H2 hit brine mid-late last week. An ANN this time wouldn't have been necessary, as H1 already confirmed the CSMAT had correctly indicated brines exist.
However, the key information for H2 is are the brines also Li rich, and what are the assay results? This information is what really starts the ball rolling as far as confirmation of the continuity of lithium in Candelas, and well, to quote JP, "this isn't going to be small" and confirms GLN's opinion that they're "setting up for big success".
So, IMO, the info they are about to release will include the initial assay results for H2.... and yes, I know that's a quick turn around, but the H1 assay results were turned around in quick smart time (only took 1 day according to my source!)... and there's every reason to anticipate the same fast-tracking will happen for H2.
Why the need for a VS... I've no idea. But at a guess, I expect has more to do with getting info collated, ANN's drafted and signed off and getting media releases sorted (and remember GLN are in Canada at the moment, so there's probably a few more time delays, due to people operating in different time zones).
Whatever the results, I expect that once they're announced we can expect to see a few new posters show up on the GLN threads... and (surprise, surprise) a lot of them will have no idea what they're talking about, and there will probably be a few Fuddsters among them.... so I think the next few weeks are going to be interesting in this corner of HC!
And as I think it was Billey that said.... the ANN could come at anytime, and to be honest, I think it will be here before Friday.
GLTA (though to be honest, we're way past needing luck... we've got here via some great research (mostly from
@mattilla) and giving GLN time to prove their theory).
Oh, and those touting that the the past few days SP increase was down to a leaking ship.... I call BS! Rather I expect that it's down to the marketing and networking GLN have been proactively doing since the first H1 results and RIU a couple of weeks back. Anyone who took the time then to research and understand what GLN are on the cusp of, would have understood the need to pull their finger out before the H2 results were announced (and JP was making it clear at RIU that they were moving quickly and I left the conference believing results could be as little as 2 - 3 weeks away).
