Yep, announcement was actually due before the start of trading today.
If I had to guess (and it really is a just a guess), I'd say that the ASX is still reviewing / looking for a clarification on a part of the announcement. If it was the company still trying to finalise the deal, I would have expected another request for further extension to the suspension.
