Highly possible, doubtful that any acquisition of QFX actually exists if it does the amount after liabilities to be paid would be minimal at best.
Why for holders when outcome is obviously liquidation, it's best to sell while you can so that you can use loss against future capital gains.
Otherwise you'll be left waiting for some form of settlement by liquidators which isn't going to happen as shareholders are bottom of the list.
