More likely the 5 cent question. Welcome back to the thread Gindalan. Most people didn't believe a while back and some still don't. But your prognosis appeared correct.
Just badly managed and poor decisions in design/ construction. Got big salaries for it too. Wouldn't surprise me if all along the plan was for Ansteel to send GBG to the wall by asking continually for more money.
They were originally supposed to bankroll the project. That went by the wayside and the project was up scaled as well

Anyway waiting at Bangkok airport to fly home so pretty bored and filling in time. Travelling is different these days. Used to just sleep once in layovers.
