re: Ann: Supply Agreement with NSW Ambulance ... http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/cdrh_docs/pdf9/K092905.pdf
There is the 501k Summary from Paladin Med Inc.
Important things to note:-
- FDA Approved
- Substantially Equivalent to Tuta Healthcare In-Line Burette
"With the exception of the Autostart flotation feature".
That is the key here.
Basically the product is substantially equivalent to the industry benchmark, HOWEVER, the thing that sets them apart is that ALT's burette has the auto-start feature.
Going over previous announcements, this saves 20 mins nurse time per patient, requires no training (unlike standard burettes and is much safer when combined with the AutoFlush feature.
From what I have gathered, ALT's burette is as cheap or if not only a few c's more expensive than the main competitor.
So if chosing between 2 identical costing products, reasonable to assume that ALT's would come up trumps here.
Reading into that announcement, there is a double pay in that the AutoFlush will accompany each Burette. So basically a dual roll out of both products in NSW.
