" Sulphuric acid production is a net producer of energy. Heat evolved in the process is used to turn water into steam which is used to generate electricity. No carbon dioxide is formed as fossil fuel is not used."
Session I love your enthusiasm. Can you please explain to me how sulphuric acid can be made on site and is a net producer of energy. There are no free lunches and no energy is free, not even that of our poor old sun who will eventually die when it uses up all its fuel (RIP dear Sun). If this process involves oxidation of sulphide minerals to produce SO3 which then reacts with water to produce H2SO4 - of limited strength. Oxidation of S to SO3 process involves using the earths supply of oxygen and this removal of O2 increases the percentage of CO2 (albeit a very small amount) in the atmosphere. Other potential sources of energy are geothermal, hydro and solar, none of which are cheap to establish. I do not mean to be flippant or pedantic but I would really appreciate knowing how TB intends to produce sulphuric acid on site together with formulae and mass balanced equations.
