I think that debt funding is not a wise option for VXR. The better option, I think, is to bring in a financially strong partner such as Sandfire Resources with (say) a 50 per cent stake. Such a move may go some of the way to funding VXR's share of the project. In contrast, funding 100 per cent of the project with debt will most likely result in a rocky road for VXR shareholders. I also think that the apparent lack of interest from industry players in becoming a strategic partner means that the project in reality could be marginal..
