It was a fluky find pfuzzy.

All I did in order to maybe answer Mr Dithers (from the Blondie comic strip of way back - he was Bagwood Bumstead's boss) aka stash's question was google 'gold near basalt' - or something like that - and up came this link. It was a very pleasant surprise to open and then read it. It was a real benefit to me and others might like it too I thought.

The serendipitous part was the reference to the Golden Mile. Tom Sanders, the CEO of Breaker Resources, has a hunch (may be stronger than that though) that Lake Roe just to the north of Karonie might host something akin to the Golden Mile. That's a big call I know, but he does express some excitement about what might be below.

The Karonie Project contains mineralised splays off the regional-scale Keith-Kilkenny shear zone and the Claypan fault zone which is located directly along strike from Breaker Resources (ASX: BRB) Lake Roe Project (Fig. 1) where RC drilling over a 4.4km strike at Bombora-Crescent continues to return high-grade gold assays including 39m @ 3.22g/t Au (ref. Breaker Resources ASX Announcement dated 19 December 2016).
