The drilling just completed was well-spaced, and according to the 17/9 ann had as its (main?) purpose: The drilling is designed to target NS oriented D2 shears and interpreted folded dolerite stratigraphy where a significant change in orientation of the regional stratigraphic trend from NS to NNW is observed.

However, the last ann did advise some good gold info: Foliated Archean rocks with disseminated sulphides were encountered on all four lines drilled, indicating that basement rocks are structurally and geochemically favourable to gold mineralisation. Archaean basalt, dolerite with quartz-pyrite veining, disseminated pyrite and sericite alteration were encountered in numerous holes. Minor shale and felsic porphyry units were also intercepted. The eastern half of the northernmost line (Line 1), encountered foliated Archean basalt and dolerite with quartz veining and disseminated sulphides.

So, we should get some reasonable gold intersections with results expected during the 2nd half of this month.
