Sounds like you understand more about what the business does. I don't have an IT or tech background but after reading information on their website I understand what they do. I am struggling to wrap my head around why what they are doing is so special. It seems dead easy. Trained robots could do the job they are doing!!! ( I know the irony, they are doing it for robots...). But the kind of info they are doing looks like things that have already been done. For example, looking at a photo and labelling the car and trees etc.

Now that I think about it, I am guessing they are taking it to the next level. e.g. looking at a car and doing more labels on it like the wipers, and rims and just going into more detail.

Its hard to shake the idea that robots could do this job because it seems so simple.

I think I saw the likes of Google and Amazon as their clients. Question is, whats stopping them from doing this by themselves and cutting Appen out of the picture?
