one point that the many posters here whom disbelieve the supreme court system of WA is somehow not working and fails to deliver outcomes,  you notice these detractors fail to present any evidences behind their extremely unresearched and  horrendously flawed perspectives.

because its always interesting to understand what happens at the coal face in the civil lists of the perth supreme court, the workload for 2016 was as follows

    OUR GENERAL DIVISION WORKLOAD
    • 40 civil trials
    • 2,933 civil cases finalised
    • 3,198 new civil cases including 2,233 new writs
    • 7,538 new probate cases
    • 66 hearings under the Dangerous Sexual Offenders legislation
    • 83 criminal trials including 17 circuit trials
    • 250 sentencing hearings
    • 404 new criminal matters, including 315 indictments
    • 104 appeals from magistrates

...................then you look at the appeals side of their workload

OUR COURT OF APPEAL DIVISION WORKLOAD
    • 208 new criminal appeals
    • 238 criminal appeals finalised
    • 127 new civil appeals
    • 159 civil appeals finalised

as much as you get the impression from many detractors here that cases are appealed on mass, you can see 104 appeals came up from the magistrates court, and their civil list is many times the supreme courts...   and of you look at only 127 new civil appeals happening from the average of 3000 cases running,, you can see that not many of the judgements have been contested.. which is what you appeal on,, not the evidences, just the ruling.

so these judges dont make too many mistakes in their rulings imho...

then of course you have to take my word for it that these numbers are correct, but your welcome to look at the WA supreme court annual report.

of course you have to think that perhaps these judges have never seen delaying processes before or not.. lets find out later on today if thats the case.
