I don’t think Jacques is in London for strategic reasons but more personal reasons (though I’m only guessing).

Finance could be a range of options including deals with streamers or smelters or JVs with a mid tier miner (all have been hinted at). If they go through a financing company it will be the same finance companies that typically deal with sub investment grade mining projects (think Taurus, Pala, Red Kite, Sprott and the like).. these guys know mining so “their own language” is one of mine finance so whether you send a geo or finance oriented person to engage with them should not matter so long as they know what they are talking about.
