Hana Mining (not to be confused with Julian Hanna) was a Canadian domiciled company responsible for much of the discoveries in the north east of the Kalahari copper belt... along with Discovery Metals of Australia. Both companies cease to exist in their original form with Cupric Canyon holding much of the assets/discoveries and MOD having acquired many of the exploration tenements/licences from DML (which went bust).

Julian Hanna’s first foray into the KCB was with MOD in circa 2014 as I understand it. Whilst a geologist by background (and a very good one at that) I assume most of his time is occupied with marketing / running the company rather than technical geology of the belt - though I’m sure he has input. Jacques (JJVR, BD manager) on the other hand has a lot of hands on experience in the belt having worked previously at Hana Mining and been responsible for the discovery which is now known as Zone 5.
