Mr. John S. McIntyre is a Principal and Managing Director of Behre Dolbear Australia Pty Ltd.  He has been involved in the Australian and international mining industry for more than 40 years; with operational and management experience in copper, lead, zinc, nickel, gold, uranium and coal in open pit and underground operations. Mr. McIntyre  has completed numerous mining projects and operations, feasibility studies, and technical and operational reviews in Australia, West Africa, New Zealand, North and South America, PNG and South East Asia. He has also completed reviews of more than 400 different resource development projects, typically on behalf of the project finance institutions, with capital budgets ranging from less than $100 million to more than $3,000 million. Mr. McIntyre’s specialities include mining evaluation of precious and base metals, coal, and uranium properties, mineral negotiations, due diligence, feasibility studies, mine optimization and strategic planning studies. He  has been a consultant for more than 25 years and has been Managing Director of BDA since 1994, involved in the development of the independent engineering and technical audit role. Mr. McIntyre’s professional affiliations include FAusIMM, MMICA, MAIMA, MAIMVA (CMV), and he is a Certified Professional Engineer and a qualified Mineral Valuer and Appraiser. He graduated from University of New South Wales, Kensington with a B.Eng. in Mining Honours II.​
