I lost a Good chunk of change many years ago following the well-known poster(pumper) you're talking about ...but the end of the day it was still my decision.
Very easy to talk oneself into BUYing and Holding a high-risk reward play esp if posters promoting it has a good history
What always pisses me off is well-known posters that ramp to the eyeballs then go silent when the SP dives to then weeks later find out they dumped all their shares on the way up>>
My worst micro-cap resources investments have always centered around one-off great drill results SOC
chip near-surface samples GRM ...expected Oil discovery flow rates from one well VIL --small Gold operations CVR poor mgmt of operations on small core project.
FAU has potential but I wouldn't invest just on one drill result
