pharmacy subscriptions are a very small revenue stream. It seems at least a couple of the larger streams will be - from pharmacutical companies - due to their products being not only used more but, promoted - and, GP link - a figure of which has been spoken about here of about 20 bucks - of which 5 bucks goes to the company and 15 to the GP - who doesn't have to see the patient.
A sleeper is Medicare - which we are told the company is in talks with - and, we know that there are large moves at least if the Libs stay in to reform medicare payments - so, it could well be that medicare rewrite the rules for payments to GP's and instead of subsidising $37.05 to a GP for a consult - they would subsidise say 20 bucks - for a non consult or phone consult for new scripts.
If the latter were the case - then certainly potentially - GP's would flood the idea and take pharmacists with them -- and a hell of a lot of 5 dollar notes would flow into the company.
so, far - that's my guess - but, I could be wrong.
