    Very insightful comment.

    The price to sales ratio appears for me personally rather useless and if applied would only make  some sense when the company is a market leader with a substantial presence in the global market place. A price to free cash flow ratio would probably make more sense.

    I am more traditional and basing my valuation on historical or in the case of DTS on expected future NPAT, NPBT, EBIT, EBITDA, Cash flow, free Cash flow. The latter two are mainly used for mining companies but also applied in the discounted cash flow analysis to other businesses with stable or predictable future cash flows.

    During my studies with FINSIA I think we never used sales revenue to evaluate the value of a business.
