It is possible that Strike could have agreed to supply 150PJ of gas over 20 years for A$52m upfront .
Suppose that the take-off customer expected increasing production so that for the first year maybe 1pj , second 2pj .... etc .
Supposing it takes them 10 years to get this offtake customers share of production up to 10pj .
If a 10% discount rate is chosen that A$60m worth of gas in 2023 will have a present value of only A$23m in 2013 .
This would be a heroic gamble on the part of Strike but the alternative ways of raising A$52m would be massive dilution or pay-day loan lender rates from a company like McQ .
