There’s definitely cost associated with clearing overburden. However, the discovery is also open updip. Depending on project economics, you can commence open stripping (a pit mine) at a shallow intersection point, and then open up the pit or tunnel at later dates depending on how the cost profiles compare.
The exciting prospect arising from a potentially richer ore body below the current holes is that other shallower opportunities might be found nearby. Or that the ore-source warrants a deep dig.
I’m really hanging out for details on that EM2 target - that looked very interesting on the aerial survey results.
