Well it's exactly what I have done in the past.
There is no substitute for boots to ground. One young geo with an XRF and hammer plus a fieldy with a backpack of sample bags would of found it. They are not that hard to spot.
I guess it just goes to show how many companies still do this. They rely too heavily on state mapping and believe all the outcropping orebodies have been found.
