Goblin, I admire your tenacity in dealing with half these idiots on this forum, why bother is what I think? Some crapped on about how the product is not required, to over priced, to simply being copied cheaper by China etc etc etc .... just like armchair sportsmen!

I am in business, I talk to many others in business and from the "new" Australians who have come here in the last 10 years that are in business (yet with experience from outside of Australia) they describe the current typical Australian consumer as extremely price sensitive and quality careless. In this announcement it wrote,
"The children’s smartwatch product is better known among UK parents than it was here. We feel we have an advantage in terms of quality, customer service in the aftermarket and a secure SPACETALK app, which really appeals to the UK market." That there is the very essence many Aussies miss, quality..... best to buy 5 cheap bottle openers for $2 that break than one good one that lasts life for $15. Better to buy a Chinese import at half price than pay more to keep your neighbour employed locally.
These guys have been in business 10 years, have solid experience in SMS's and programming and clearly know servers and security. Now I support that, I would pay extra for that. I would feel comfortable in knowing that my warranty will be honoured not hounded. In the great scheme of things the price of these plus that app amount is bugger all ..... gaming consoles cost more than this as do the game for them! This is people's kids and parents want trusted technology.
Pity I didn't top up at these lows.
